The county first installed drain tile a couple of years ago to address the subgrade moisture issues. This increased performance somewhat, but they still had structural issues. The county mixed in 5.5% of Portland cement into 12″ of the subgrade just above the drain tile to address the subgrade issues. To increase performance of the driving surface, the county reclaimed/injected Base One in 4.5″ of aggregate surface material. A light coat of chloride was added to the surface to minimize dust.
